The website Travel-Ticker.com recently conducted its annual summer intentions survey, and asked the following: If you were given the chance to do one crazy activity while on vacation that you wouldn't attempt at home, what would it be?

Some 27 percent of respondents chose skinny-dipping -- and of that group, 67 percent were age 51 or older. The survey also found that people are becoming more spontaneous and budget-conscious about their travel choices: 79 percent of overall respondents said that felt they could save money by booking travel on a whim. In that spirit, we asked Travel-Ticker to identify five destinations that offer both great deals and inviting places to take it all off and enjoy a swim in the buff.
