Hague's Wheels Spin...

Sunday, April 1, 2012
David Cameron goes into Easter after one of the most difficult periods of his premiership, with the Sunday press likely to make grim reading for the Prime Minister.

It comes as Cameron is alleged to have said that a fuel strike would be "no-bad thing"!

So what's a no-fuel strike like, then, Dave? You're about to find out....

On the Sunday shows ministers tried to salvage the situation, with William Hague insisting that it had been a 'controversial week' that ministers would recover from.

We also enjoyed his brave attempt to put a positive spin on Francis Maude's awful handling of the fuel tanker strike threat.

Apparently we're "better prepared" than we were before.

Emily Dyer: Has Toulouse Blinded Sarkozy to His Failings?
Nicolas Sarkozy's decision on Monday to ban hate-preacher Yusuf al-Qaradawi from entering France was a sensible move. After the killing of Jewish children by Toulouse massacrist Mohammed Merah, a man so driven by anti-Semitism, it would have been unthinkable to welcome Qaradawi.

If the reports are true, and it seems they are, we are on the verge of something quite historic. British broadcasters have finally prised open the door to the last bastion of public life which remains closed to TV cameras, courtrooms.
Manu Sareen: Is the 'Porn Chic' Tendency Affecting Girls' and Boys' Body Confidence?
Many young people upload photos of themselves on popular websites, and I am thrilled that so many take full advantage of the different social media. However, at the same time it is apparent that too many girls and boys are copying symbols and codes from the pornographic industry.
